Large Bore Through Conduit API 6A Gate Valve 7 1/16 Inch Full Bore Pressure Seal Bi Directional Pipeline Grade

The CCSC large bore through conduit API 6A gate valve is a full bore, pressure seal bonnet valve developed for high rate production wells, pipeline manifold systems and surface flowline applications requiring minimal pressure loss and unrestricted tool passage. Offered in nominal bore sizes from 7-1/16 in to 11 in, the valve maintains the full internal diameter of the flowline across the gate, so there are no cavities, pockets or ledges where sand, wax, debris or hydrate particles can accumulate. The design is fully compliant with API 6A and follows the well proven FLS through conduit configuration that the industry has accepted for decades of severe service.

Because the bore is completely unobstructed in the open position, the large bore gate valve is the preferred isolation device on lines that must be pigged, gauged or inspected without removing the valve from service. The bi-directional, metal to metal sealing system gives dependable shutoff in either flow direction, and the pressure energised bonnet seal keeps the body joint tight as the line pressure climbs during shut in conditions. Gear operators are fitted as standard on the larger sizes to keep the operating effort low and to allow precise, controlled opening and closing of the valve.

The large bore through conduit gate valve is applied on high rate wellhead production trees, trunk line manifold systems, pipeline launcher and receiver stations, tanker loading facilities and produced water transfer systems where full bore flow and pigging capability are mandatory. It is also widely used on gas export lines that require periodic intelligent pig inspection, because the unobstructed bore lets inspection tools pass through the valve without removing it from the line. The valve is equally at home in onshore gathering stations and offshore topside piping, and the large diameter configuration keeps flow velocities low, which reduces erosion and extends the service life of the sealing surfaces.

Large bore valves are manufactured with strict control of body forging quality, heat treatment response and dimensional verification of the full bore geometry. Each valve is hydrostatically shell tested and seat tested in both directions, with optional gas seal testing for critical services, and all test results are recorded against the serial number of the valve. For export shipment the valve is cleaned, dried and treated with rust preventive oil, the flanged ends are covered with steel or plastic protectors, and the assembly is secured in a reinforced plywood export crate with the operator protected against transit damage.
