The CCSC sour service API 6A gate valve is a forged steel pressure seal bonnet gate valve specifically engineered for wells and flowlines handling hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide and other corrosive produced fluids. Manufactured to the FLS full bore, through conduit concept and offered in material classes FF and HH, the valve meets the hardness and material selection requirements of NACE MR0175 and ISO 15156 so that every wetted component resists sulphide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking throughout the design life of the well. This makes the valve a dependable choice for acid gas fields, high H2S reservoirs and sweetening plant applications where standard trim valves suffer premature failure.
All pressure containing and wetted parts are produced from material that has been verified by chemical analysis and hardness testing, and trim components such as the gate, seat and stem are available in solid corrosion resistant alloy or with hardfacing applied by qualified procedures. The metal to metal sealing system maintains a gas tight barrier even after repeated cycling, while the pressure energised bonnet seal provides an additional protection layer against fugitive emissions in environmentally sensitive locations.

The sour service gate valve is engineered for H2S bearing production wells, acid gas injection wells, gas gathering networks, amine and sulphur recovery units, and any flowline where the combination of pressure, temperature and corrosive agents creates a risk of environmental cracking. It is equally suitable for surface wellhead equipment and for process isolation duties in gas treatment plants. Operators in the Middle East, North America and Southeast Asia specify this valve where reservoir fluids contain hydrogen sulphide, and CCSC supports project requirements with certified material documentation, NACE compliance statements and witness testing arranged by accredited third parties.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceEvery sour service valve is manufactured under a documented quality system with dedicated controls on material verification, heat treatment and hardness testing of all wetted parts. Prior to dispatch each valve receives shell and seat pressure tests together with a backseat test, and valves destined for gas service are offered with high pressure gas seal testing. Components are protected with corrosion preventive compounds, the bore is closed with plastic caps and the complete valve is shipped in a heavy duty plywood case with shock absorbing packing. Complete documentation, including material test certificates, NACE compliance documentation and inspection reports, is supplied with each shipment and retained on file for future reference.
